SOAR Farmers Market (Streeterville Organization of Active Residents)

Time: 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location: 220 E. Chicago Avenue, at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) Plaza , between Chicago and Pearson, one block west of Lake Shore Drive, one block east of Michigan Avenue.
SOAR Farmers Market Goals:
• Connect local farmers and producers to Streeterville residents, employees, employers, tourists and guests.
• Provide a diverse range of high quality fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, baked goods, cheese, flowers, prepared foods and ready-to-eat food for people on the go.
• Promote and educate a healthier society through the appreciation for local, fresh, sustainably raised products
• Support small family farms. The market will present locally-produced products from farms Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Vendors to date: Nichols Farm and Orchard, Ellis Family Farms, Lanes End Farms, North Wichert Gardens, Lyons Fruit Farm, Khlem Growers, Noffke Family Farms, Smits Farm, Mick Klug Farm, J2K Capraio, Iron Creek Farm, Underground Meats, Stamper Cheese, LaProvence Bakery, Breadman, Provo Bakery, River Valley Farms, GottaBCrepes, Gayles Best Ever Grilled Cheese, Karl’s Kraft Soup.

The farmer's market goals work in conjunction with SOAR’s #1 GOAL which is to “build and celebrate community.” Founded in 1975, SOAR celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2015 by undertaking management of the Farmers Market.
